Like most developers, I created this blog/portfolio page years ago with the intent of doing something with it..and left it sitting dormant.
In a effort to actually take advantage of my little piece of the web, I'll be devoting this blog mostly to the development of my next personal project as I develop it over the next 6 months or so.
There comes a time in every game programmers life where the urge to create their own game engine takes over. In order to give the engine some purpose, I am planning on developing a tech demo to demonstrate a wide range of different rendering techniques and effects - both for my own learning, and to provide examples for others.
The next few posts will contain some of the concepts and early planning I have done on the project, as well as a link to the repository where the code itself is stored if you want to keep track of the projects progress.
